Adjunct Faculty

Students
- Graduate Students
- Graduate students can be paid on special payroll and should follow the guidelines under Other Temporary Services for all special payroll appointments (except teaching).
- Graduate students teaching credit courses use the Special Payroll Lecturer title.
- Graduate Assistants
- Graduate students can be paid on special payroll and should follow the guidelines under Other Temporary Services for all special payroll appointments (except teaching).
- Graduate students teaching credit courses use the Special Payroll Lecturer title.
- Graduate assistants who have a 100% Graduate Assistantship must obtain Graduate School approval to be employed on special payroll during the academic year.
- Undergraduate Students
- Undergraduate students may not be compensated on special payroll.

Rehired Retirees
- Retirees may not exceed 120 days or 12 credits per calendar year.
- Re-Employed Retiree Policy
- Payroll authorizations for retirees must be processed based on the calendar year (not fiscal or academic years)
