Adjunct Faculty

Students

  1. Graduate Students
    1. Graduate students can be paid on special payroll and should follow the guidelines under Other Temporary Services for all special payroll appointments (except teaching).
    2. Graduate students teaching credit courses use the Special Payroll Lecturer title.

  2. Graduate Assistants
    1. Graduate students can be paid on special payroll and should follow the guidelines under Other Temporary Services for all special payroll appointments (except teaching).
    2. Graduate students teaching credit courses use the Special Payroll Lecturer title.
    3. Graduate assistants who have a 100% Graduate Assistantship must obtain Graduate School approval to be employed on special payroll during the academic year.

  3. Undergraduate Students
    1. Undergraduate students may not be compensated on special payroll.

  1. Retirees may not exceed 120 days or 12 credits per calendar year.

  2. Re-Employed Retiree Policy

  3. Payroll authorizations for retirees must be processed based on the calendar year (not fiscal or academic years)
