Assistant Athletic Trainer
Division of Athletics
The University of Connecticut is seeking applications
for the full-time position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities
will include: assisting the head athletic trainer with prevention,
evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes’ injuries;
supervision of clinical and field experience of undergraduate and graduate
students; assisting with the teaching of undergraduate students; other duties
as assigned by the head athletic trainer.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in related field;
knowledge of NCAA regulations; certification by the National Athletic Trainers
Association; current CPR certification; Connecticut Athletic Trainer State
license or eligible to receive.
Preferred Qualifications: Collegiate Ice Hockey experience.
This is a full-time, 11-month, end-date appointment subject to annual renewal.

Assistant Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach
Athletic Department
The University of Connecticut is seeking applications
and nominations for the full-time position of Assistant Swimming
Coach for Men and Women. Responsibilities will include: emphasis
on recruiting academically and athletically competitive athletes
for a Division I program, on-deck coaching; home and away meet management,
assisting with pool operation and all facets of managing a competitive
Division I program.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s
degree; previous experience as a swimmer or coach at the elite
level of college swimming; prior experience recruiting Division
I student-athletes; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; USS
Coaching, Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid instructor certifications or
ability to be certified.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s
degree.

Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach
Division of Athletics
The University of Connecticut is seeking qualified candidates for the
full-time position of Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach. Responsibilities
include: assisting the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach in planning and
organizing all phases of a Division I women’s lacrosse program including
recruitment of prospective student-athletes; scheduling and travel arrangements,
development of the student-athlete; game preparation; marketing and community
involvement; and other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Women’s
Lacrosse Coach.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; knowledge
of NCAA regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University;
strong organizational, communication and public relations skills required.
Preferred Qualifications: coaching and collegiate
playing experience.

Biomedical Engineering

The University of Connecticut is seeking
an exceptional candidate for a tenure track Assistant Professor
in Biomedical Engineering in the School of Engineering. The
Biomedical Engineering program offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees
and has over 50 faculty members. Detailed information about the Biomedical

Preference will be given to candidates
with Ph.D. and B.S. degrees in biomedical engineering with
a biomedical image processing, biomedical data mining and visualization,
biomolecular/cellular modeling and simulation, computational
genomics, or systems biology emphasis. Consideration will be
given to candidates with Ph.D. and B.S. degrees in computer science
& engineering, computational biology, or other related fields,
provided a strong and broad background in biomedical engineering
is demonstrated. A Ph.D. is required by June 30th for Fall
semester start and October 30th for Spring semester start.
Candidates are expected to build and sustain an externally-funded
research program, supervise and support MS and PhD graduate students,
and teach undergraduate and graduate BME courses.
