The University requires that requests for data from collective bargaining units be made according to the following rules. It is the policy of the University to provide all requested information unless it is restricted from disclosure for proper legal reasons.
- All requests for data should be made in writing to the Department of Human Resources, Unit 5075. Individual offices should not be responding to data requests directly from the unions.
- Unions are to designate in writing the individual who is responsible for gathering the information on a certain items and we will respond to requests from that individual.
- Whenever possible, union requests for information should be made as a package, i.e. to include all items they are likely to need on an issue in one request.
- Requests from the unions should be made as early as possible with plenty of lead time.
